SILICONE-BASED WATER REPELLENT

Uses and applications

COP SILICONE is used as waterproofing and water repellent on substrates such as ESTUCOP CHUKUM, ESTUCOP APPARENT CONCRETE, ESTUCOP FINE, brick, stone, among other porous materials. Being water repellent, it acts as an anti-rust. COP SILICONE does not form a film nor alters the appearance in which is applied, it is water repellent as it allows the surface to breath and environmentally friendly for its low content of VOC (volatile organic compounds).

Surface preparation

The surface must be free of dust, humidity, loose or spoiled paint, oil and badly bonded materials to achieve an adequate adherence. If the chosen surface has another coating it must be removed immediately by mechanical or other means ensuring the removal of the anterior coating.

Product preparation

COP SILICONE is applied without diluting it by roller, brush, sprinkler or air gun. For the majority of surfaces, one application is enough. For better results, apply maximum 3 hands, it is advisable to carry out tests according to the type of substrate. -Recommendations: COP SILICONE is not recommended as waterproofing for roofs, swimming pools or cisterns. Do not dilute COP SILICONE. Allow a minimum drying time of 2 hours before contact with water.

Performance

8 to 10 sq.m. per litre by layer. This performance may vary depending on the porosity of the surface.
