BASE COP FX

FLEXIBLE CEMENT BASED COATING

Uses and applications

For its high content of polymer resins and controlled granulometry, BASECOP is used to perform joint treatment, profiling shears, hide plastic accessories and in application as a base layer in systems of drywall and cement board.
For gluing high density polystyrene mouldings.
Apply BASECOP FX on joints between fibreglass mesh panels intercalated between layers and then apply the product to the entire surface in thickness not greater than 3 mm. Let it dry 24 hours before applying the final finish.
It is recommended to use fibreglass mesh of 130 gr on the entire surface to avoid structural fissures.

Surface preparation

The surface must be free of dust, humidity, loose or spoiled paint, oil and badly bonded materials to achieve an adequate adherence.

Product preparation

In a clean container pour 7 litres of water, gradually add BASECOP FX. Manually stir or with an
electric mixer until the product is fully incorporated.

Recommendations

Use only the amount needed. BASECOP FX hardens after 30 minutes due to its cementitious content.
Excess of water in the mixture causes a decrease in the quality of the product, can create cracks,
fissures, compromising the resistance to compression and/or adherence of the material. Let it cure for 24 hours before applying
paint or exterior texture on the coating layer BASECOP FX®.
