ESTUCOP WATERPROOF®

CEMENT BASED HYDROREPPELENT COATING

Uses and applications

ESTUCOP WATERPROOF is a special mono-component coating for waterproofing and protection of retaining walls, buried structures, floors, balconies, or high humidity areas such as bathrooms and kitchens prior to the collocation of tiles, floors, ceramics and any other surface exposed to the weather. ESTUCOP WATERPROOF is easy to apply by roller, brush or trowel.

Surface preparation

The surface must be free of dust, humidity, loose or spoiled paint, oil and badly bonded materials to achieve an adequate adherence.

Product preparation

Applied by roller or brush, add 6 to 7 litres of water per sack of 20 kg. Applied by trowel, add 5 to 6 litres of water per sack of 20 kg. In a clean container, pour water, gradually add ESTUCOP WATERPROOF and mix 3 to 4 minutes with a low speed drill until an even mixture without lumps is achieved.

The more water is added, the less will be the waterproofing. It is recommended to utilise the minimum required water to obtain the resistance needed.

Recommendations

The minimum application thickness is 2 mm per layer and maximum 4 mm in 2 layers. In areas where high mechanical resistances are expected, it is recommended to apply a reinforcement fibreglass mesh when the first layer is still fresh.

Better waterproofing results are obtained by applying the product by means of trowel with a final thickness of 3 to 4 mm using a maximum of 5 litres of water for the mixture.

Performance

At 3 mm thickness of 7.5 to 9 sq.m. per sack of 20 kg.
